a table for the birds, squirrels and for us, by the water.

domestic red oak, hand-cut joinery and shaping. stained with homemade oxidising solution and finished with wax. 2023. photographed in water and with birdseed at the Japanese Garden at Roger Williams Park.

inspired by an environment and a person I love, this table abstracts their forms and emotions into a tactile being. for the past year, this table has lived in the Regenerative Earth Collective Garden at RISD. she (the table) has lost much of her colour but remains steadfast in supporting the flora and fauna around her.
